My Happy List

Housework that needs to be done:
  • Vacuum / mop floors
  • Launder the clothes
  • Fold Laundry
  • Change Sheets on all the Beds
  • Tidy my desk

But instead of doing that.....

I have decided to participate in my beautiful friend Mamarazzi’s Happy List link up.
Photobucket

I am happy….
… that I know people like Mamarazzi. I met Mamarazzi years ago in some vaguely strange circumstances. We “friended up” but then managed to lose touch over the last few years. Thanks to the wonders of Facebook and my general cyber-stalking skills we were able to reconnect and that is just great!

I am happy….
… that I have made so many gorgeous friends. I’m not so happy that they are scattered all around the world. I do love the fact that you can not talk to a good friend for weeks, months or years yet when you do, the conversation flows as easily as it ever has.

I am happy ….
… that technology facilitates communication. This is partly because I hate writing letters and I don’t really feel the need to write letters these days!

I am happy ….
… modern technology has allowed me to see pictures of my new nephew without having to wait for a film to be processed.

I am happy ….
… to be playing in this linky party because it means I have to actually make my blog known to an audience wider than myself. This is quite scary for me, but I think the scare is good for me too!

  2. I love great friendships like that. Where you can just pick up a conversation as if you just talked yesterday, even if you haven't talked for months.
I do so love digital pictures and the ability to share pictures instantly. It makes me feel so much more connected to my family!

  4. oh i went to reply to your comment on my blog, i always like to reply via email and your email address is not enabled.

    did you know that?

this means that you spend so much time leaving lovely comments on people's blogs and they have no way of responding to a question or thanking you for stopping by or just continuing the conversation...because instead of your email address all they see is "no-reply comment".

    sad right?

you can fix that if you like.

just go to your dashboard, click edit profile and click show email address and then click save profile.

    easy!!!

and i PROMISE if you change this blogging will get even better and become even more fun!

  5. Hi! I discovered your blog from Mamarazzi. I am joining the Happy List too. I agree that technology gives us an opportunity to communicate and connect to people from all around the world and that is already something to be happy. I am one of the many people who is willing to read your blog. I hope we could follow each others blogs and take advantage of the benefits of technology.

I wish you more happiness! :)
